CHILLIWACK — It took a lot longer than Ryan Ligon was probably anticipating, but a new restaurant featuring Asian inspired cuisine could open as early as next week at the Rosedale Village shopping centre.

Ligon tells Fraser Valley Today that his target opening date for Rice + Noodle is Monday, September 15, at 102-52964 Yale Road in Rosedale/Popkum, near the Highway 9/Yale Road roundabout.

The restaurant will be situated next to Oxygen Yoga & Fitness and Freshslice Pizza in the Rosedale Village shopping centre, anchored by DQ and Starbucks.

The Fraser Valley Regional District issued a permit for the construction of the restaurant on September 20, 2024.

“It took me quite a long time due to some contractor issues, but we are almost there and are very excited to introduce [ourselves] and give a great experience to the community,” Ligon said. “We are very near to finish on our construction course.”
