Off-road rider suffers extensive injuries after accident Sunday in Chilliwack River Valley
CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack River Valley Fire Department crews and B.C. Emergency Health Services personnel were dispatched Sunday evening after an off-road dirtbike rider suffered serious injuries from an accident.
According to scanner traffic, first responders were first notified at approximately 7 p.m. about a motorcycle/dirtbike down an embankment near Tamihi Forest Service Road and Liumchen Creek Forest Service Road in the Chilliwack River Valley. Chilliwack Search and Rescue personnel were notified about the accident similarly.
At least two engines from the CRVFD responded. RCMP officers responded as well.
Scanner traffic indicated the dirtbike rider suffered back and leg injuries, and had an exposed bone, from a high-speed accident.
