Abbotsford man critically injured after pedestrian crash
ABBOTSFORD — Marshall Road was closed for a short time after the Abbotsford Police Department stumbled on a tragic scene Saturday night (Mar. 8).
In a social media post by AbbyPD, patrol officers “came across” a single-vehicle collision with a pedestrian in the 32900 block of Marshall Road shortly after 7 p.m. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police, but the victim, a 50-year-old man, sustained life-threatening injuries. He was then taken to a trauma hospital in the Vancouver area.
The investigation is in its early stages and is being supported by the RCMP’s Integrated Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Service.
Marshall Road has since reopened to traffic.
