Chilliwack Emergency Services Food Drive makes one final push before Christmas

CHILLIWACK — Saturday marks the final opportunity for Chilliwack residents to contribute to the annual Emergency Services Food Drive in support of the Salvation Army.

The Chilliwack Bylaw department, RCMP, Fire Department, Search and Rescue, and Emergency Support Services have teamed up to collect donations for the Salvation Army Food Bank. The food drive is wrapping up Saturday (Dec. 21) with collection sites open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at several locations around the city.

Donations can be made at Safeway at 45610 Luckakuck Way, Save-On-Foods at 46020 Yale Road, 45585 Luckakuck Way, 6014 Vedder Road, and 45635 Tamihi Way, and Superstore at 45779 Luckakuck Way.

For those unable to donate on Saturday, non-perishable food items can still be dropped off at Fire Hall #1 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. throughout December.
