Downtown Chilliwack church event to draw thousands this weekend with free lunch, activities

CHILLIWACK — Thousands of people are expected to fill a downtown Chilliwack park this weekend as Main Street Church invites the community to join them for a fall kick-off event.

According to a news release from Main Street Church, located at 45830 Princess Avenue in Chilliwack, the festivities get underway at 10:30 a.m. at Central Community Park (45951 Victoria Avenue) this Sunday with a vibrant church service, followed by a free lunch and a variety of family-friendly entertainment.

Main Street Church says attendees can expect a fun-filled day with bouncy castles, kids’ games, face painting and live music, all at no cost, including lunch and all activities. The event should wrap up at about 2:30 p.m.

Attendees are kindly asked to bring lawn chairs for a comfortable experience. The weekend forecast from Environment Canada calls for sunny skies and a daytime high of 30 degrees.
