SURREY — Investigators from Canada’s largest homicide unit have taken conduct of an investigation in connection with a 28-year-old Fraser Valley woman who went missing in February 2024.

On February 23, 2024, 28-year-old Navdeep Kaur of Surrey was reported missing by her family to police in Surrey. Following a thorough investigation by the Missing Persons Unit of the Surrey RCMP, evidence was collected that prompted investigators to believe she was the victim of foul play.

Subsequently, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken conduct of the investigation and will be collaborating closely with Mounties in Surrey, the Integrated Forensic Identification Section and the B.C. Coroners Service to further investigative proceedings.

“Investigators are working to learn as much as possible about Navdeep and her movements leading up to her disappearance on February 22,” according to Corporal Esther Tupper of IHIT. “We’re asking anyone who has had recent contact with Navdeep, or anyone with information, to please call IHIT immediately.”
