Chilliwack Chiefs second place lead smaller after loss in Port Alberni
PORT ALBERNI — The Alberni Valley Bulldogs scored three times in the third period to blow open a tight game and defeat the Chilliwack Chiefs 5 – 1 Friday (Mar.22) in Port Alberni.
Hayden Stavroff and Grayson Badger each scored twice to leave the Bulldogs just two points behind Chilliwack in the race for second place in the Coastal Division. Both teams have three games remaining.
Matt Argentina scored the lone goal for the Chiefs who trailed the game 2 – 1 after forty minutes. Vladimir Nikitin stopped 27 of 32 shots in the Chilliwack net.
The Chiefs continue their road trip on Saturday facing Victoria at 6 p.m.
