CHILLIWACK — Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the eastern Fraser Valley including Hope.

The warning was issued Monday (Jan. 8) morning. It advises that up to 15 cm of snow could fall in the region by the time the day is over. It expects the snow will be heavy at times, making driving more challenging.

Environment Canada says a frontal system will begin to bring light snow to the region this morning with the heaviest snow expected to begin falling late in the afternoon and into the evening. The heavy snow is expected to transition to rain by late Monday evening.

It says drivers should be prepared to adjust their driving habits to match the changing road conditions.
