Nov 13, 2023 | 11:00 AM

LANGLEY — Motorists travelling along Highway 1 between 216th Street and 232nd Street in Langley, should be aware of a series of planned overnight traffic diversions this week. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction as work crews install concrete form work on the new Glover Road crossing girders over Highway 1.

The first diversion begins Monday (Nov. 13) at 8:30 p.m. when all westbound lanes of Highway 1 are closed. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction as traffic is detoured through the work site. The diversion will remain in place until 5 a.m. Tuesday. A similar diversion of westbound traffic will also be required overnight on Sunday November 19 from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday morning.

Eastbound lanes will be closed on Wednesday (Nov. 15) night at Friday (Nov. 17) night beginning at 8:30 p.m. and continuing until 5 a.m. the next morning. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction through the project site.

DriveBC will monitor the closures and provide updates through its website and social media channels.
