Coquitlam beats Chilliwack to tighten first round BCHL playoff series

CHILLIWACK — Ray Hamlin had a goal and an assist to lead the Coquitlam Express to a 5 – 1 victory over the hometown Chilliwack Chiefs in BCHL playoff action Tuesday (Apr. 4) night.

After dropping the first two games of the best-of-seven series in Coquitlam, the determined Express held period leads of 2 – 0 and 3 – 0 while outshooting the Chiefs 33 – 21.

AJ Lacroix scored the lone goal for Chilliwack which still owns a 2 – 1 lead in the series.

Game four of the series is scheduled for Wednesday (Apr. 5) night at 7 p.m. in the Chilliwack Coliseum.
