CHILLIWACK — Two bodies have been found in a Chilliwack home, prompting an investigation by the RCMP’s Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT).

Chilliwack RCMP say they were called to a residence in the 44400 block of South Sumas Road Tuesday (Nov 8) afternoon just before 2 p.m. They were called after the two bodies were discovered inside the residence. Police determined the deaths were suspicious and contacted IHIT.

Mounties say the deaths appear to be an isolated incident and do not believe there is any threat to the general public at this time.

Police say the investigation is focusing on gathering evidence at this point. They are working to determine whether the deaths are linked to the drug trade or an ongoing gang conflict in the lower mainland.
