CHILLIWACK — Multiple officers from Chilliwack RCMP, along with ambulance and fire personnel, responded to the area of Yale Road and McNaught Thursday morning following a report of shots fired.
Two victims were reportedly impacted by gunshots. One person is reportedly deceased, the other is reportedly in hospital with life-threatening injuries. One of the victims is reported to be a 40-year-old female.
Four units were seen near the intersection of Yale Road and McNaught Road; police had redirected eastbound and westbound traffic away from the intersection.
RCMP had advised residents in the area to stay inside their homes. Air ambulance was reportedly dispatched to the area as well.
