COQUITLAM — Police have now made an arrest in connection with a series of fires in Coquitlam late September.

Between September 27 and 29, three fires started in the Maillardville neighbourhood area near Hammond Avenue and Therrien Street, Laval Square and Cartier Avenue, and Nelson Street and Walls Avenue.

There were no injuries during the incidents.

“Investigators would like to thank members of the public for their CCTV footage, which was instrumental in identifying the individual,” said Acting Sergeant George Han, media relations officer with Coquitlam RCMP, in a release Thursday (Oct. 16).
