Two intoxicated people arrested during near-drowning incident at Cultus Lake last weekend

CULTUS LAKE – Police say two intoxicated women were arrested while first responders were attending a near-drowning incident at Cultus Lake last weekend.

Upper Fraser Valley RCMP spokesperson Corporal Carmen Kiener says a serious incident occurred at Main Beach last Sunday, June 14 in which a man fell into the water at Main Beach and was unable to swim.

Thanks to the quick thinking of nearby individuals, bystanders rendered aid to the man who regained consciousness before he was transported to hospital for medical treatment.

Unfortunately, first responders had to deal with two intoxicated women during the near-drowning incident, Cpl. Kiener said.
