Chilliwack, Cultus Lake firefighters to conduct training drill Saturday

CULTUS LAKE — Drivers in Cultus Lake may see minor traffic delays as local fire departments gather for some key team-building in the area today, October 18.

Cultus Lake firefighters, along with Chilliwack Fire, Chilliwack River Valley Fire and Columbia Valley Fire, will be conducting mutual aid training on the grounds behind the waterpark and surrounding areas.

Mutual aid training involves cross-training drills between neighbouring fire departments to ensure efficient coordination in emergencies that go beyond one department’s resources.

The training will be closed to the public.
