CHILLIWACK — A Chilliwack non-profit whose platform offers a variety of support services for older adults in Chilliwack is launching a new program and expanding an existing service in the community.

Compassionate Neighbours, based out of Chilliwack, says it is excited to launching a new pilot project known as the “Intimate Partner Loss Social Support” program. It’s designed to support people over 55 who have experienced a significant life change after their intimate partner passed away.

The group meets on the first and third Friday of each month from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and will be peer facilitated where participants share their challenges and successes as they continue their journeys. Registration is required, and prospective participants are simply asked to email Connie Stam at neighbourhealth@gmail.com or via phone at 604-798-2023.
