ABBOTSFORD — Police in Abbotsford say an alert citizen’s tip led to the recovery of a stolen vehicle and the arrest of a repeat offender known to police.

According to a social media post, AbbyPD officers were tipped off to a suspicious truck parked near Sumas Mountain Road and Carnarvon Court on Monday, August 11. Officers responded to the area and found a stolen black Dodge Ram pickup truck.

Patrol officers from shift 2 quickly secured the area, boxed in the vehicle, and arrested the driver, identified as 42-year-old Justin Graham. Graham, whom police describe as a prolific property offender, was wanted on multiple outstanding warrants and was found to be breaching court-ordered conditions at the time of arrest. He has a lengthy criminal history.

He remains in custody, and has been charged with possession of stolen property and breach of a release order.
