
RVs destroyed after fire breaks out at homeless encampment north of Hope Wednesday night
HOPE — A spokesperson for the Hope RCMP Detachment says two recreational vehicles were completely destroyed after a fire broke out on a forest service road north of Hope Wednesday night.
According to a statement from Hope RCMP Staff Sgt. Michael Sargent, Mounties in Hope, Hope Fire Department and B.C. Ambulance Service paramedics were dispatched for the report of multiple RVs on fire in the area of American Creek Forest Service Road.
Sgt. Sargent says Hope Fire crews quickly extinguished the fire, but two RVs were destroyed and two others were damaged. One of the occupants was treated for minor injuries on scene.
