Cultus Lake Park Board could ban resale of Sunnyside Campground reservations
CULTUS LAKE — Cultus Lake Park Board commissioners are set to consider changes to the campground reservation system at Sunnyside Campground that would ban the resale of reservations at the popular summertime venue.
According to agenda item 7a. on this Wednesday’s agenda, the five-member park board could give first, second and third (final) reading to amendments to its existing bylaws pertaining to Sunnyside Campground, which is managed by the park board.
Park board staff say a booking adjustment fee was previously added to compensate for staff time when reservation durations are shortened and extended, in addition to a fee for group site cancellations.
A staff report authored by Carly Volk, manager of Sunnyside Campground and accommodations, says staff used this opportunity to make changes that highlight compliance and enforcement while utilizing and implementing the bylaw throughout the 2024 camping season.
