Judy Collins concert set for New Westminster this spring
NEW WESTMINSTER — Legendary folk singer Judy Collins will bring her timeless voice and enduring message of hope to the Lower Mainland this spring. The 85-year-old icon is set to perform at the Massey Theatre in New Westminster on Sunday, March 30.
Collins, who released her debut album in 1961, has enjoyed a storied career spanning over six decades. Her first record, filled with traditional folk songs, established her as a leading voice in the burgeoning cultural movement of the 1960s. Since then, she has released more than 50 albums, earning accolades for her music and activism.
A lifelong advocate for social justice, Collins has championed causes ranging from civil rights and anti-war efforts to her current work with UNICEF and other humanitarian organizations.
Despite her years in the industry, Collins shows no signs of slowing down. She remains creatively active, touring globally, mentoring young artists, and continuing her work as a filmmaker and record label executive.
