Secondary school in Chilliwack undergoes brief hold and secure Wednesday
CHILLIWACK – G.W. Graham Secondary School in Chilliwack underwent a brief hold and secure on Wednesday, and police have confirmed there was no danger to any students or staff at the school on Thomas Road.
According to a brief statement from Chilliwack RCMP spokesperson Corporal Carmen Kiener, police responded to a report of a weapons complaint near the intersection of Vedder Road and Keith Wilson Road.
Corporal Kiener says the hold and secure was implemented out of an abundance of caution.
She says the hold and secure lasted for 20 minutes before RCMP members confirmed the suspect was not in the vicinity of the school, and no one was in danger.
