CHILLIWACK — Students across the Fraser Valley brought some festive joy to hospital patients and residents this holiday season through a holiday card drive organized by the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation’s Youth Advisory Committee.

The initiative united students from local schools, along with clubs and organizations, to create and distribute cheerful cards to patients at Abbotsford Regional Hospital, Chilliwack General Hospital, Mission Memorial Hospital, Fraser Canyon Hospital, Bradley Centre, Heritage Village, and Fraser Hope Lodge.

On Christmas morning, the cards were delivered to spread the spirit of the season to those spending the holidays in healthcare facilities.

Dr. Lakhbir Jassal with the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation praised the initiative. “It is important we spread kindness in this world and showcase the power of community spirit,” said Jassal. “One heartfelt handwritten card can make an immense difference in the mental and emotional well-being of patients-in-care”.
