Nov 24, 2024 | 10:41 AM

CHILLIWACK – Organizers with the 2024 edition of the Chilliwack Rotary Christmas Parade expect another sizable turnout downtown when floats roll out Saturday afternoon.

Participation is expected to rival that of last year’s excursion, which boasted 80 parade entries and more than 900 volunteers and participants.

The event will close much of Chilliwack’s streets in the downtown core to vehicular traffic between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m., but free fares from BC Transit on all routes will be an option for those needing a ride.

Chilliwack Senior Secondary School will serve as the starting point for the parade, which will begin winding down Yale Road at around 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 30.

After arriving at Wellington Avenue, floats will make a right turn onto College Street and conclude along Reece Avenue.
