Update: Man reported missing by Chilliwack RCMP never made it to his destination Sunday night

CHILLIWACK — Mounties in Chilliwack are asking for assistance in locating a 43-year-old man who has been reported missing.

Police say William Welch was reported missing Monday, October 14. He is described as a Caucasian male, 5’10” tall, 196 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police say Welch drives a 2016 white Dodge Ram 3500 pickup (picture below) bearing a British Columbia license plate of RH2686. Police believe he was heading to Clinton, B.C.

According to the text of an social media post, Welch’s girlfriend, Kahrinay Giles, says he never made it to his destination Sunday night. Welch’s phone reportedly pinned in Boston Bar, B.C. at 7:30 p.m., and the last anyone heard from him was 9:10 p.m., as he was heading to his friend’s ranch near Clinton. His girlfriend says she’s not sure if he went off the road or if there was any foul play involved.
