Sardis Secondary to host university basketball game Tuesday night featuring 3 Chilliwack players
CHILLIWACK — Three Chilliwack basketball players will be featured in a Tuesday night battle between a Metro Vancouver university and the men’s prep team from the University of the Fraser Valley.
For the second time this month, university-caliber basketball will be on display in Chilliwack when the FV Mountaineers, the men’s prep team from UFV, take on the Capilano Blues of North Vancouver Tuesday night at Sardis Secondary (45460 Stevenson Road) in Chilliwack. Tip-off is 7 p.m.
The game will showcase the talents of three Chilliwack basketball players, including Nathan Bartha, Matthew Selles and Zachary Klim.
Bartha, a 6-foot-4 playmaker, averaged 18.5 points, 13 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2 blocks and 1.4 steals per contest at G.W. Graham last year. He earned JV MVP and senior varsity MVP honours.
