Future of agriculture, education major concerns as BC election approaches, says Fraser Valley Business Coalition
The group that represents four chamber of commerce agencies in the Fraser Valley is urging candidates in the BC election to pay more attention to agriculture, education, crime, and transportation.
This request came in the form of a written address to local politicians from the Fraser Valley Business Coalition (FVBC), which represents chambers in Langley, Mission, Abbotsford, and Chilliwack.
“As a rapidly growing economic hub, the Fraser Valley faces significant challenges that must be addressed to ensure continued prosperity, competitiveness, and a secure environment for both residents and businesses,” the FVBC said in a statement.
The outlet pointed to five areas of concern, with improving agricultural production and food innovation at the top of the list, insisting that the Agricultural Land Reserve (ALR) be reviewed and modernized in consultation with farmers and the agriculture sector.
