Chilliwack veterinary clinic to mark 30th anniversary Saturday, invites kids to bring their teddy bears

CHILLIWACK — A Chilliwack veterinary clinic near Vedder Road and Thomas Road in Sardis will celebrate its 30th anniversary this weekend with prizes, free draws, and a chance for kids to bring their teddy bears for a special reason.

Valley Veterinary Services, located at 2-45735 Thomas Road next to Jack’s Cycle and close to McDonald’s on Vedder Road, invites the public to its 30th anniversary celebration this Saturday, August 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The vet clinic says it loves supporting the community and wants to give back in a tangible way to thank Chilliwack for its support the past 30 years.

Image: Valley Veterinary Services / Dr. Mark Steinebach of Valley Veterinary Services presented a donation $1,500 cheque to the Chilliwack Bowls of Hope Society in December 2022, and chef Tony from Bowls of Hope was happy to accept the donation.

The company was established in 1994.

The clinic will offer prizes, free draws, vendors on site, a hotdog sale where 100 per cent of the proceeds go to the clinic’s Animal Care fund to assist pets in Chilliwack and the surrounding area that may need veterinary care and possibly financial assistance.

Valley Veterinary Services says it will have a special teddy bear exam table, so kids are encouraged to bring their teddy bears and stuffies.

The clinic is headed up by veterinarians Dr. Mark Steinebach, Dr. Yuri Yoon and Dr. Grace Placente, and its staff roster comprises practice manager Cindy Arnold, registered veterinary tech Lisa, registered vet tech Navid, vet office assistant Kendra, vet office assistant Faith, vet office assistant Sebrina, client care rep Jacquie, client care rep Brittney, client care rep Annica, and treatment assistant Kaylee.
