AGASSIZ — As if the dreary weather hasn’t made things miserable enough Tuesday morning, a motor vehicle accident has left hundreds of customers in Agassiz without power Tuesday morning.

According to a social media post on X/Twitter, BC Hydro says 580 customers in Agassiz saw their electricity go out Tuesday at 10:21 a.m. due to a motor vehicle accident.

Crews are on their way. As of 11:52 a.m., there’s currently no estimate for when power might be restored. The BC Hydro website was last updated at 10:40 a.m.

The affected area includes customers south of Beaman Drive, north of Caignou Road, west of Tranmer Road and east of Hamilton Road.
