**Update at 11:30 a.m. Thursday: A fire investigation team from the Chilliwack Fire Department visited the abandoned home in question earlier this morning at 10:13 a.m. Chilliwack RCMP is also investigating the suspicious fire.**
CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack Fire Department personnel were dispatched to an abandoned home in the 46200 block of Margaret Avenue that caught fire early Thursday morning (May 16).
According to scanner traffic provided by Chilliwack resident Julie Hiscock, firefighters were called to 46252 Margaret Avenue at about 4:55 a.m. Thursday, with the nearest cross street being Williams Street.
Firefighters told dispatch flames were emanating from the side of the home and the roof.
