Over 180 garage sales happening in Chilliwack this weekend
CHILLIWACK — Not only is it Mother’s Day weekend in town, there will be a whole lot of second-hand thrift buying throughout Chilliwack on a sunny Saturday, May 11.
The City of Chilliwack’s City-Wide Garage Sale is a spring tradition that offers households throughout Chilliwack, Sardis, Yarrow, Greendale, Eastern Hillsides, Rosedale and everywhere in between the chance to offload their unwanted goods and put the proceeds to good use.
“The City-Wide Garage Sale is a unique opportunity for residents to promote the reuse of materials,” the City of Chilliwack wrote on its website. “There are two City-Wide Garage Sales held each year, one in the spring and one in the fall. The City provides free advertising for garage sale participants through this website, social media and the local newspaper.”
One of the 180-plus venues where garage sales will be held includes a massive garage sale at Chilliwack Heritage Reformed Church where they plan to have an entire gymnasium full of items for sale.
