Chilliwack Chiefs need overtime to beat Langley 2 – 1
CHILLIWACK — Matt Argentina scored his second goal of the playoffs at 4:08 of the second overtime period to give Chilliwack a 2-1 win over the Langley Rivermen Saturday (Apr. 6) in Chilliwack.
The win gives the Chiefs a 2 – 0 lead in their best-of-seven first-round BCHL playoff series.
Langley opened the scoring midway through the second period on Dalton MacGillivray’s goal. The Chiefs tied it early in the third period when Nico Grabas struck for his first of the postseason.
Grabis helped to set up Argentina’s game-winning goal for a two-point night. Argentina also had a goal and an assist for Chilliwack while Nathan Morin finished with two assists.
