SURREY – Police in Surrey are investigating an early morning incident yesterday in which two suspects vandalized and damaged nine vehicles in a Newton neighbourhood.

Surrey Police Service spokesperson Staff Sgt. Lindsey Houghton said police were called to the area of 75 Avenue and 147A Street Wednesday morning, July 15, at approximately 5 a.m., about mischief in progress. Two suspects were seen breaking windows of vehicles that were parked near the roadway.

Several SPS units responded to the area, but the suspects fled prior to police arrival. In total, nine vehicles sustained glass damage to front, rear and side windows.

SPS investigators have acquired CCTV footage and are hoping that the release of still images will assist in the identification of the suspects.
