Strong third period lifts Chilliwack Chiefs past Cowichan Valley
DUNCAN — The Chilliwack Chiefs scored three times in the third period to post a 4 – 2 victory over the Cowichan Valley Capitals Friday (Mar. 29) in Duncan.
Parker Murray, Stone Rolston, Caleb Elfering and Nathan Morin scored goals for the Chiefs. With the victory, Chilliwack maintained their two point lead on Alberni Valley in the race for second place in the BCHL Coastal Division.
Austin McNicholas stopped 25 of 27 shots in the Chiefs net before he was ejected from the game with 3 seconds remaining in the third period. All 12 players on the ice were handed misconduct penalties in a skirmish.
The Chiefs will wrap up their regular season schedule Saturday when they travel to Nanaimo.
