Mission senior volunteers dig deep, donate thousands to help Mission Memorial Hospital
MISSION — The Mission Health Care Auxiliary comprised of dedicated senior volunteers has made a generous donation of $7,000 to purchase state-of-the-art equipment at Mission Memorial Hospital.
According to a news release from the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation, Mission Health Care Auxiliary has helped to fund next-generation technologies and facility improvements at the hospital for more than a century. The auxiliary has assisted the hospital in purchasing a blanket warmer, a bariatric stretcher, a scope cabinet and different types of wheelchairs.
Image: Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation / In their latest donation, the auxiliary helped pay for two new wheelchairs, two new four-wheeled walkers, two new transport chairs, new leg lifters, two new walker knee supports and an amputee board.“Their continued support is rooted in their humanitarian support towards service of community,” the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation said in a news release.
