Dairy Queen to hold hiring fair as it opens soon east of Chilliwack in Popkum

CHILLIWACK — The home of Ultimate cheeseburgers and signature Blizzard desserts will hold a hiring fair next week as it prepares to open this spring east of Chilliwack in Popkum.

According to an email from a spokesperson dated Monday, March 4, Dairy Queen International has confirmed with the franchise owner that they plan to open the DQ restaurant at 52964 Yale Road East in Popkum in April or May.

Their first job fair will be held next week, and people interested in applying for a position at the Popkum DQ should email their resume to dqrosedale@gmail.com.

A Fraser Valley Today reporter visited the nearly completed DQ in the Rosedale Village shopping centre where no other businesses have opened yet. A banner stated, “Now Hiring! Manager, assistant manager, crew. Send resumes to dqrosedale@gmail.com.”

In the same Rosedale Village shopping centre, a Starbucks will be opening in summer 2024 as well as Freshslice Pizza, which has a sign across the front of its smaller unit.
