Abbotsford Police respond to shots fired call resulting in vehicle collision

ABBOTSFORD — Early Monday morning (July 18) at approximately 4:37 a.m., Abbotsford Police responded to shots fired within the 34700 block of Townshipline Road.

En route to the call, one patrol vehicle was involved in a serious motor vehicle collision in the 3600 block of George Ferguson Way. Two officers are in hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Upon arrival at the call, police determined a home invasion occured at a marijuana grow operation; no victims were located.

George Ferguson Way between McCallum Road and Paulin Street remains closed in both directions.

The AbbyPD Major Crime Unit is in the early stages of the investigation and is seeking witnesses or dashcam footage from those who may have been at either location.
