Chilliwack Chiefs add forward ahead of Okanagan road trip
CHILLIWACK — The Chilliwack Chiefs have acquired 2003-born forward Willyam Gendron from the Nanaimo Clippers in exchange for forward Dylan Kinch (2004).
Gendron is in his second season with the Clippers. He’s recorded 70 points (31 G, 39 A) in 75 BCHL games including 34 points in 32 games this season. The Boisbriand, Quebec product is committed to Sacred Heart University.
“It’s hard to pass up an opportunity to land a point per game player just returning from being a part of the league’s All-Star weekend. Willyam will not only add a scoring threat, but with his pace of play, he should complement nicely into our group,” said Chiefs General Manager and Head Coach Brian Maloney.
Kinch is also in his second BCHL season. In a Chiefs uniform, Kinch netted 46 points in 84 games including 33 in 24 games this season. “We’re extremely excited to add Willyam to our group but sad to see Kinch go, and we wish him all the best. He was loved in our locker room.”
