Chilliwack RCMP says there’s been little information about a man who disappeared 5 years ago today

CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack RCMP says it has not given up in its ongoing quest to find a man who was last seen in 2019.

Today, January 25, marks five years since the disappearance of Kristofer Shawn Couture. Mounties with the Chilliwack RCMP detachment continue to investigate his disappearance. According to a news release from Chilliwack RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Carmen Kiener, Couture, who was 25 years old at the time, was last seen in Burnaby on January 25, 2019. His personal vehicle was located near Elk Mountain in Chilliwack on January 27, 2019. At the time of his disappearance, he was driving a Blue 2003 Saturn Ion with an Alberta license plate.

Couture is described as:

• Height: 5’8 (173cm)
• Weight: 190 lbs (86kg)
• Hair: Brown
• Eyes: Brown
• Ethnicity: Caucasian

“The Chilliwack RCMP will continue to exhaust all investigative leads until Kris is found,” Cpl. Kiener said. “Not a lot of information from the public has been received in the last few years and we know someone out there knows something. We are pleading with them to come forward.”
