Chilliwack Fire dispatched for burning trees near a commercial complex early Thursday morning

CHILLIWACK — The Chilliwack Fire Department was dispatched for a report of burning trees, or a bush fire, near Kirkpatrick Auto on Airport Road early Thursday morning (Dec. 28).

According to scanner dispatch, and information gathered from Chilliwack residents Julie Hiscock and Hailey VanBasten, Chilliwack firefighters were called to the area of Airport Road and Harvard Place at approximately 12:50 a.m. Thursday.

The bush fire apparently did not spread to the nearby commercial building complex on Harvard Place. There were no reported injuries.
