RCMP investigates two residential break and enters in Agassiz, seeks witnesses
AGASSIZ — The Upper Fraser Valley Regional RCMP Detachment says they’re investigating two residential burglaries that happened within three hours of each other last week in Agassiz.
According to a statement released by RCMP spokesperson Corporal Carmen Kiener, Mounties in Agassiz, accompanied by the Lower Mainland Integrated Police Dog Services and Integrated Forensic Identification Service (IFIS), were dispatched for the report of a break and enter on Friday, December 8 at approximately 12:30 p.m. in the 7000 block of Bristol Drive in Agassiz. Police say a large number of gifts were stolen from underneath the Christmas tree inside the residence.
Just hours later, at approximately 3 p.m., Agassiz RCMP and IFIS responded to the report of another break and enter at a home in the 1450 block of Canterbury Drive in Agassiz. Police say a large, unspecified amount of personal items were stolen from the residence.
The Agassiz RCMP are seeking assistance from the public for CCTV video cameras, vehicle dash cameras, and witnesses who may have been in the area near the time of the crimes.
