Commercial building goes up in flames on Lougheed Highway in Mission

MISSION — Mission Fire Rescue Service is still on scene for a commercial structure fire that broke out at a vacant building on Lougheed Highway Thursday morning (Nov. 16), across from the Best Western (32281 Lougheed Highway).

According to a Facebook post from the fire department, the fire fire engine reported the building was fully engulfed in flames, and a defensive attack was established.

The neighbouring business suffered minor fire damage, thanks to actions of the first-in crews.

An investigation with RCMP is happening later this morning, Mission Fire Rescue Service wrote on Facebook.
