Suspects sought in two overnight shootings in Abbotsford

ABBOTSFORD — The sound of gunshots rang out early Saturday (Nov. 4) in Abbotsford as a result of two seperate early morning shootings that police believe may be linked.

A news release from the Abbotsford Police Department says officers were alerted to a report of shots being fired in the 600 block of McCallum Road at 3:19 a.m. Within ten minutes a second call came into police, reporting the sound of gunshots around the 2100 block of Martens Road.

Outside of the residences involved, officers discovered evidence of guns being fired. Police say there were no injuries as a result of the gunplay,.

The AbbyPD’s Major Crime Unit, working in conjunction with patrol officers and the Forensic Identification Unit, has initiated investigations into the incidents. Early indications suggest the shootings may have been targeted and possibly linked, but no arrests have been made.
