CHILLIWACK — The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is reporting the death of an inmate at the Mountain Institution in Agassiz. Darak Andrew More died in custody Wednesday (Nov. 1).

More was serving a life sentence with no eligibility for parole until 15 years after entering a guilty plea in the killing of Rob Vicente in 2010 in Saskatchewan. More pleaded guilty to a charge of second-degree murder.

In a news release, the Correctional Service says the circumstances of More’s death will be reviewed. As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, the CSC policy requires that the police and the coroner be notified.

The cause of death has not been released.
