Ground game racks up 6 TDs as GW Graham rolls to their 4th straight win
ABBOTSFORD — The GW Graham senior varsity football team will take whatever the opposing defence gives them.
Thanks to an offensive line that loves to run the football, running backs Yapo Conteh (101 yards, 4 TDs) and Grady Andrea (93 yards, 2 TDs) propelled the Grizzlies to a 41-10 win over WJ Mouat Friday night in Abbotsford.
The Grizzlies rolled to their fourth straight win and led with a powerful run game of over 100 yards in the first half. Conteh, a 5-foot-11, 210-pound back, ignited the Grizzlies with 7 carries for 47 yards, 3 TDs and a 2-point conversion. Conteh added a 13-yard reception to that first half total to set the tone for a great game on Friday night where the BC Lions were showcasing the event. The Grizzlies went into halftime with a convincing 21-3 lead over the Hawks.
The second half began with a 50-yard TD run from Grady Andrea to start his day in the backfield. The Grizzlies controlled the ground game with 266 yards total rushing spread among seven ball carriers. RB Maleky Colgiu amassed 44 rushing yards.
