HOPE — A colorful fire similar to a Halloween display arrived a week early for the Hope Fire Department, but this was no trick or treat.

According to a Facebook post from the department, Hope firefighters responded to reports of a rubbish fire near the train tracks on River Parade, located southeast of downtown Hope, early Tuesday morning (October 24), at approximately 2 a.m.

The eerie-looking image turned out to be much more than just a rubbish fire. Once on scene, crews discovered a truck on fire. Hope Fire says the vehicle was unoccupied.

The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation, Hope Fire Department wrote in its Facebook post.
