Vernon scores overtime winner to defeat Chilliwack Chiefs

CHILLIWACK — Julian Facchinelli’s goal at 4:37 of overtime lifted the Vernon Vipers to a 5 – 4 victory over the Chilliwack Chiefs Saturday (Oct. 7) in Chilliwack.

The goal ruined the Chiefs comeback bid. They trailed 4 – 3 until Brady Milburn scored with 1:49 remaining in the third period to set the stage for overtime.

Brian Morse, Stone Rolston and Savin Virk also scored goals for the Chiefs who outshot Vernon 35 – 19.

The Chiefs get a week off before their next game, Sunday in Coquitlam.
