Fraser Valley Specialty Poultry to host car show, BBQ for family who lost business due to bus fire
CHILLIWACK — When a charter bus caught fire near 44408 Vedder Mountain Road back on June 8, its flames spread to a nearby building and destroyed a custom car shop owned by Dave and Lisa Bisschop.
Fraser Valley Specialty Poultry, a Yarrow-based farm operation that produces and retails duck, chicken and other poultry products, is trying to help the Bisschop family recover from their significant losses with a special car show and BBQ on Saturday, July 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 4540 Simmons Road in Yarrow.
The car show itself is free for spectators and there will be plenty of opportunities for customers and supporters to donate.
“Come out to Chilliwack for our free car show – with opportunities to donate of course!” Fraser Valley Specialty Poultry wrote on Facebook. “Our friends down the road lost their custom car shop in a fire, and we’d like to gather this community together to show them with our love and (financial) support.”
