Car, semi crash causes slowdown on eastbound Hwy. 1 in Chilliwack Monday

CHILLIWACK — A semi truck and a passenger sedan collided Monday afternoon, slowing eastbound Highway 1 traffic near the Evans Road overpass.

According to footage shared by Chilliwack resident Erik Devisser, a big rig and a passenger sedan were involved in a two-vehicle crash sometime Monday afternoon.

The sedan appeared to get wedged in front of the 18-wheeler, which was carrying a load, and the sedan wounded up crossing the median and partially onto the other side of the highway affecting westbound traffic. Chilliwack Fire, RCMP, and a tow truck attended the scene.
