Abby PD looking for witnesses after motorist fled police through mall parking lot
ABBOTSFORD — Abbotsford Police Department is putting out a public appeal for witnesses after the driver of a vehicle who refused to stop for police on South Fraser Way wound up fleeing at a high rate of speed into a nearby mall, forcing two pedestrians to jump out of the way.
At 6:50 p.m on Friday night (Apr. 28), patrol officers with the Abbotsford Police Department attempted to stop a black Chrysler 300 along South Fraser Way in front of Seven Oaks Mall. According to police, the drive fled at high speeds through the mall parking lot, forcing two pedestrians to jump out of the way.
Police seized the vehicle, the driver has been identified, and charges are pending. The Abbotsford Police Department would like to speak with the pedestrians involved in this incident or anyone else who witnessed this driving behaviour.
