CHILLIWACK — Motorists in Chilliwack should plan for two upcoming road closures due to maintenance involving two railway crossings later this week.
Southern Railway will conduct rail repairs to a rail crossing at Yarrow Central Road and Vedder Mountain Road this Thursday, March 30 at 5 p.m. until Friday, March 31 at 7 a.m.
The City of Chilliwack notes that the tracks will be impassable. Motorists are urged to use Keith Wilson Road instead.
A section of Vedder Road will be closed for 16 hours north of Spruce starting this Saturday, April 1 at 4 p.m. and overnight through to Sunday morning, April 2 at 8 a.m. Again, tracks will be impassable. Motorists are asked to use Evans Road.
